There is a poll to the right- vote on whether you think Squeaks is a boy or girl! Check out the pics first :)
I feel as though I have not talked much about this pregnancy and baby number 2. When I was pregnant with Brooks, there was nothing else going on. This time I have an active, funny, adorable toddler to go on about, that it seems this pregnancy is flying by.
7 weeks until Baby 2 is due to arrive- 7 weeks!!!
Are we ready? Not really. We bought a double stroller. Once it arrives we will be taking it car shopping as it is already cramped in the Prius and I need to be able to fit supplies, groceries, etc in the car along with 2 carseats. B's big boy room is almost ready for him to move in. His blackout shades should be coming within a week- then we will do the switch. Once that is done then I get to dig out all our old baby stuff- the neutral gear, and prepare a bit more. Also on the to do list is to sort toys into B's current faves and infant ones.
Pregnancy and how it is going. Well I saw my dr this week. Everything is going well. Baby is *NOT* huge like they said. She told me it is measuring 4 days ahead- 56%. To me that sounds perfectly average and ok so that worry is gone. How am I feeling? Kind of miserable. With Brooks I felt great the whole time- I got impatient at the end and was a little uncomfy sleeping at night, but felt fine. This time I feel like crap often. Maybe it is because I have to chase a toddler and constantly get up and down off the floor. I am sure that is part of it- but it is just harder this time. I have more difficulty doing things, I need more help getting up LOL. My belly is bigger thanks to being pg so close together, I am still puking and heaving a few times a week, I can't sleep both due to insomnia and comfort issues, and I am run ragged. But we are healthy and that is what matters, and I am not miserable miserable- just not having the wonderful pregnancy I had with him. I still love being pregnant. The perk to this pregnancy is this little one is more 'fun' in utero than B was. I couldn't feel him as well b/c of placental positioning, squeaks is a machine!
One negative- baby is breech. I am going to a chiropractor tonight and for accupuncture Friday. Both of those things are supposed to *help* enable baby to turn. I don't mind trying it- I would rather have the baby flip and if s/he doesn't, at least I will have tried everything I could and not regret not doing it. Most babies have flipped by this far along, however we have about 3 weeks for this baby to flip before the Dr's start thinking it is definitely not going to happen. If baby does not flip there are 2 medical options- 1) try an external version, this is when they admit me to the hospital b/c it can lead to delivery/stress on the baby and try to manually push the baby around while monitoring everything. It is supposed to be painful. Option 2- schedule a c-section. So you can see why I am trying the alternative methods to help things along.
Eric, Brooks, and I got to have a nice visit with Squeaks- we went for an elective 3D ultrasound. It was amazing. I hate to say it- but it was even more amazing than when we did it for Brooks because the shots were so much clearer since the baby was sleeping and my placenta was not in the way this time.
Awesome shot of the face
Baby is folded in half with their feet right up in front of face (profile on right)
Little hands fisted under the chin/cheek
More of a body shot, chin tucked in elbow with belly below!
And for fun comparison sake- Here are some old shots of BROOKS from when we did it with him. It is interesting to see how the positioning of the 2 is so similar!
feet up in front of the face, just like squeaks!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Is it really 2011?!?!
My due date is less than 8 weeks away- what a crazy and wonderful year this will be!
For NYE, we didn't do much. Friends of ours with a son 2 months older than B, and a daughter who is almost 2 months old, invited us over along with another couple with a toddler. We went after nap time and stayed until bed time. B fell asleep on the drive home and went right up to sleep, and we watched some of the entertainment from Times Square on TV while waiting to ring in the New Year. It was relaxing, yet different- my how life has changed!
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2011- I hope it brings great things to all!
Resolutions- besides weight haha. I want to take more pictures and get organized- both housewise and photo wise. I still have to make his 1st yr photobook- eeeeek!
New Year's Eve- 32wk 1day
B playing with the kiddos- the first holiday I have not bought him a 'special' outfit- and I am ok with that.
And our attempt at a family shot. Maybe I am having a girl- I feel like my face looks so much fuller than normal LOL
And for fun- a recap of 2010- what a wonderful year it was!
JAN 2010- Mommy & daddy left you overnight for the first time to go to Boston. You mastered sitting on your own (although I would still put pillows behind you for a good month). You also ate food for the first time- up to this point it was all nursing, but we started you with cereal and veggies this month!
FEB 2010- The month of record snow! I think within 3 weeks we had 60" of snow. Way taller than you. We also got a new tv, celebrated valentine's day, and you got to get all dressed up to celebrate great-great-uncle-george's 90th bday!
MAR 2010- Things to celebrate this month: Daddy's birthday! your first tooth, St Patrick's Day, and real food- you started eating table food and gave up jarred baby food immediately!
APR 2010-You mastered crawling and life around here changed completely with mobility! You celebrated your first easter, went to your first lacrosse game for Uncle G, and learned that despite having hundreds of toys- kitchen stuff is fun!
MAY 2010- started cruising, got your top teeth, and getting fancy with daddy! Celebrated mommy's first Mother's Day with your first trip to the Aquarium!
JUN 2010- HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY BROOKS!!! Not only did you turn 1 this month, but we also found out you would soon be a big brother. We had a wonderful party at the Philly Zoo. What a wonderful first year it was!
JUL 2010-Big month of firsts! First steps, although you wouldn't walk yet, first weekend alone with daddy while mommy had a girls trip, first trip to the local SPRAYground & first haircut!
AUG 2010- HUGE month :) Mommy & Daddy celebrated 5 yrs of marriage, Mommy's bday, and SOMEONE LEARNED TO WALK!!!!!!! B also weaned (not that there is a picture of this, but for the record). We also announced to the world that Squeaks would be coming in Feb 2011! We got to spend fun time in Ocean City (both MD and NJ!)
SEP 2010- Started out with a 3 day weekend in the Bahamas for Mommy & Daddy while B stayed with Nana & Grandpa. Not much to say about September except we probably spent every day outside playing at the park or the playground. LOVE early fall weather.
OCT 2010- Enjoyed the fall weather and all it brings including pumpkin picking and our annual Baltimore trip! Honored Daddy at an awards ceremony- and was the CUTEST penguin ever who went trick or treating for the 1st time.
NOV 2010-celebrated Thanksgiving at our house- and we are so thankful for everything! Also experimented with boundaries, temper tantrums, and how to get into everything he can!
DEC 2010-
Brooks became such a big boy- looked dapper for the holidays, helped celebrate and actually helped bake & decorate the tree, had mono and was very sick- even visited CHOP, and enjoyed the first snow of the season
