Brooks and I went up to NJ and slept over at Nana & Grandpa's house (my parents).
My mother had the day off and we went to see Santa at the Short Hills Mall. They had a fabulous setup there- it was a Polar Express theme and there was a snowglobe to walk through, in which 'snow' was actually falling, and the Santa not only had a real beard- but real ringlets in long gray hair.
Once again- Brooks LOVED Santa. I didn't think we would get lucky twice, especially since we waited about 40 minutes on line to see him. But he did great. Like mother, like son- maybe Christmas will be his favorite time of year as well.
Later we hung out with my mom's best friend- who came over to meet him. Then he had grandpa time with my dad before we hit the road at bedtime
And finally at home, passed out in front of our tree. All this visiting and Santa seeing is tiring :) Don't forget Brooks man- he sees you when you are sleeping, and you sure are angelic.
As for needing reassurance-
I always feel like I don't do enough with B. I play & sing- and he is happy, but I always wonder if there is something more I should be doing.
Add to this the fact that the kid doesn't sit on his own, and doesn't roll (he has done belly to back 7 times, and not in over a month).
I just worry- am I doing something wrong? Is he ok? I hate this

He is perfect and you are a fantastic mama!
When Lyla's getting ready for a new skill she forgets the old ones until she's mastered the new one.Maybe he's about to start pulling up!
I love that Brooks loves Santa- thats so cute!
I dont have any firsthand experience but Im sure you're doing enough with Brooks. You are such a great mom, Carly.
What a cute picture with Santa!! Even though I'm not a mom (yet) I can tell that Brooks looks so happy and I am positive you are an absolutely wonderful mother! I'm sure it's normal to feel like you are feeling though. I can only imagine how I'll be!
Carly, my dear, you are a wonderful momma to B. He always looks so happy and we know how much you love him. Don't doubt yourself!
Love the new Santa pic! I'm sure you are doing exactly what you should be for B. He's such a happy, gorgeous little guy!
What a sweet little angel!
You're doing GREAT. Babies can get bored, and there isn't much you can do about it. Read him books, hold him up to the window and talk about colors. When all else would fail me with Jack, I would read him US Weekly. Reading is reading!
I guess maybe this is something we all worry about as (new) mothers, but I worry about the same things. With the two, I'm always worried that maybe I'm not giving enough attention to them individually to work on things, but I do all I can do and I'm sure you do as well.
He's such a cute little guy!
