3 weeks worth of updates!

Man do I stink at blogging. I even thought about dropping it- however I keep up with a separate blog for our family, that if I don't update weekly I hear about- so I have been in the habit of C&Ping from there to here.

What has happened in 3 weeks- a lot and nothing all at once!

Family wise- My darling husband made partner at the lawfirm he works at!!! THIS IS HUGE! I am so proud of him and so happy he has this achievement because he deserves it- the man is a hard worker. To celebrate, we had a babysitter come by Friday and a last minute happy hour with about 10 friends. It was so much fun to go out- in fact selfishly I enjoyed it especially since I know that with Squeaks coming that this is not likely to happen again for quite a while.
Also- we bought a brand new car!!! We got a 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite in silver- a minivan!!! Holy crap I am in my 20's and own a minivan. It took a little while to mentally get past the word minivan- however, I LOVE THIS CAR!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO

Brooks- is amazing. He is trying to talk more. I won't lie, I broke down crying the other day watching a kid who is 7 weeks older sing itsy bitsy spider- I feel like I am failing him. But I try to remind myself of all the kids we see at gymboree who are about his age and not saying much either. I also need to remind myself of the words he is adding- he says nigh nigh for night night now, he says ba-oo for balloon, he really is trying. So he will get there.
He is also hysterical. It is so hard not to laugh at his tantrum face, he is huge into dancing lately, he thinks everything is funny and laughs when we laugh, there is so much that is fun about this age.
He is throwing me through a loop with sleep- fighting naps and waking up 90 mins early for about a week now. Once he is down for a nap I wake him about 3-3.5 hrs in in hopes that he will start sleeping until 7am again, but not working. I hope it is a fluke, nothing crazy going on to explain it and I am not happy that it is timing out to be like this with our new arrival on the way- I hate the idea of someone watching him for a few days when he is already off.

Squeaks- IS DUE IN 4 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ummm what???? 4 days???? holy crap! I am so impatient, and at the same time the fact that this is actually happening within the next week or so is unbelievable to me.
I go to the Dr 3 times a week. Once is the normal appt- I only had one internal last Tuesday (so 38w 5d). I was 2cm dilated, soft cervix, but baby & cervix were both high and not effaced. Basically no progress considering this is baby 2. However I never had much progress with B and that chagned in an instant so I am trying not to dwell. The other 2 appts are NSTs- we routinely get nonreactive b/c the heartrate only goes up about 12 bpm instead of the requisite 15, so I have had a LOT of u/s's. Everyhting has looked well.
Speaking of u/s's. We had a growth on Fri 2/11 and Squeaks measured in at 7lbs 2oz, 45%ile. Should be interesting to see if they were off or on. Remember I was told I have a 'huge' baby and all for a while- so hmmm.

And that is life in a nutshell around here- just busy busy busy. Being this pregnant and home with an active toddler all day is the most exhausting thing I have done to date. I cannot wait to meet this baby :)
