Getting harder and harder

It is getting harder and harder to find the time and energy to blog- but here we are! It used to be easy to do little updates when he was napping or sitting and playing- but now that Brooks is mobile there isn't an instant to myself when he is awake and when he naps I try to do things like laundry and cleaning. I have lost 7 lbs since he started moving LOL.

If he can get to it, he loves the entertainment center and has figured out how to open it to find all the wires.


The mail just came through the door and it was very interesting, so Brooks - who was sitting on the floor, had to have a better look. Now I guess we know he can climb


And if I dare take out my computer- he comes over and stands up to bang on it like a drum- I can't use it anymore if he is awake


Brooks is doing great- he is such a happy little guy, and very much has his dad's personality- he is just a chill baby. Now that the weather is nice we have been trying to get out more to see Eric and meet him for lunch- look at the cool high chairs Park restaurant has.



I don't know if you noticed in the picture above, but Huggies has come out with a new kind of diapers- they made the diaper itself look like denim jeans complete with fake pockets and a fly- so cute!






Last Friday- Eric and I had a night out- it was our first night out for something that wasn't an event (wedding, etc). We did have our Boston trip- but that still seemed like an event. We used a babysitter that was not family for the first time. Her name is Lauren and she teaches the music class at Gymboree so Brooks knows her, and she only lives 1 block away! Brooks did great- so great that another Gymboree teacher even commented she heard he was wonderful and didn't even cry when we left. The only bad thing about babysitters (we found this both with my parents and Lauren) is that B isn't too into taking a bottle so barely eats and is destined to wake at 1 or 2 am in hunger. But at least he is happy for them so I'll take it! We went to the Phillies game- our seats were awesome- look how close we were to chase Utley



And in teeth news- Here is the 2 tooth grin we are just getting used to


But wait- there are actually 4 in there!


And no- they are not as crooked as they look, that is the angle in addition to the fact that they all have come in at different times so are different heights
